Our aim at alphacare is to make the operation and certain types of examination as safe and pleasant for you as possible. Our job during the procedure is to ensure that you feel no pain. We also monitor the vital functions and keep them at normal levels. Depending on your needs and the type of intervention, we can choose from various types of anaesthesia. We make a distinction between the following forms of anaesthesia:
- General anaesthesia: here, we put you into a sleep-like state.
- Regional anaesthesia: this makes a large area of the body insensitive to pain.
Local anaesthesia and monitored anaesthesia care (MAC): in this case, only a small part of the body is made insensitive to pain, and the operating surgeon gives the anaesthetic. If the operator wishes, an anaesthetist can also be present to administer an additional medicament that puts the patient to sleep.
