Patients insured in Switzerland
In principle, the costs of the high-quality services of the Privatklinik Bethanien are covered by health insurance if you have a top-up hospital insurance (semi-private or private top-up insurance). If the procedure in our hospital is paid for by an accident insurance, the costs of the stay are in principle also covered for generally insured patients under the insurance.
Payment undertaking
The Privatklinik Bethanien requires a payment undertaking from the health insurance company for the stay before the patient is admitted. If the health insurance company does not guarantee to cover all the costs, a deposit may have to be taken before admission. In this case, you will be informed in advance by our patient administration department.
Invoicing
We issue invoices on the basis of the agreements concluded with the insurance companies and in accordance with the currently applicable Health Insurance Tariffs of the Canton of Zurich. We settle the costs directly with Swiss health insurance companies. You will therefore only receive an invoice for services not covered by the health insurance company (such as telephone costs, food and drinks consumed by your guests, etc.).

As a Sanitas Preference customer you have access to additional benefits during a hospital stay to ensure you enjoy a high level of comfort. Our service begins before your hospital stay and only ends when you’re sufficiently recovered to be able to take care of everything yourself again.

Cost estimates / Upgrades
If you are “generally” insured and are interested in a stay in our hospital, we are happy to provide you with a non-binding estimate for your stay. We are also happy to provide an estimate for an upgrade from semi-private to private or for overnight stays in one of our junior suites or suites.
